Senior QA Engineer 2 - HCM

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer 2 to participate in the agile development team with a focus of regularly releasing high quality features and improving the overall client experience. This role defines strategies for testing complex features and ensures the successful implementation of those strategies. It is an exciting role that provides opportunities to work on a wide array of projects in a fast-paced environment.
This role reports to the development manager and works closely with Development, Architecture, Product, Customer Success, SaaSIO and Strategic Partners to deliver solutions that simplify the daily work life of the front line of education.
Responsibilities
Test Strategy and Execution:
Define and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure the quality of complex features. Lead exploratory testing sessions and facilitate cross-functional swarm tests for thorough coverage. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for regression testing and continuous integration, ensuring efficient and reliable test execution.Collaboration and Communication:
Actively participate within Scrum teams, providing valuable insights and fostering a collaborative development environment. Proactively communicate project status, risk analysis, and findings to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making. Collaborate with engineers and product owners to identify and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle, enabling timely delivery of high-quality products.QA Process Improvement:
Continuously improve the QA process by performing root-cause analysis of defects, identifying trends, and proposing solutions. Mentor other QA engineers, providing guidance, technical expertise, and promoting best practices within the team. Participate in the review and provide constructive feedback on test plans authored within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field 8+ years of experience as a QA engineer with a proven track record of success Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and various test methodologies (Functional, Automation, Regression, Performance, Load) Expertise in testing web-based applications, including tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright Ability to write, maintain, and analyze performance tests to ensure application scalability using tools like JMeter, Taurus etc. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with diverse teamsAbout Frontline Education
