Sr\nQuality Engineer – Repair and Overhaul

As a Sr Quality Engineer – Repair and Overhaul here at Honeywell\nAerospace Technologies (AERO), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the\nquality and reliability of our products. You will be accountable for\nimplementing and maintaining quality control systems, conducting inspections\nand audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will\ncontribute to the success of our aerospace technologies and help us deliver\nsafe and reliable solutions to our customers.

You will report directly to our Quality Manager and you'll work out of our\nUrbana, OH location onsite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct\n thorough quality inspections on repaired aircraft components, verifying\n adherence to established procedures and specifications.Perform\n audits of repair processes and documentation to identify potential quality\n issues and implement corrective actions.Collaborate\n with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot quality concerns and ensure\n proper repair techniques are utilized.Review\n and approve repair documentation, including work orders, inspection\n reports, and technical data packages.Monitor\n and analyze quality data to identify trends, initiate preventive measures,\n and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Conduct\n training sessions for technicians on quality standards, procedures, and\n regulatory compliance.Maintain\n a strong understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations and applicable industry\n standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).Liaise\n with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits, demonstrating\n compliance with quality systems.Investigate\n non-conformance reports, root cause analysis, and implement corrective\n actions to prevent recurrence.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and\nregulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S.\ncitizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under\nasylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVEOne or more years of experience in a role within an FAA Part 145 repair station environment.

WE VALUE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.A&P Mechanic certification preferred, but not required.Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and quality standards.Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in quality management systems and documentation practices.
