Sr Quantitative Analytics and Forecasting Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical/analytical expertise to team through big data analyticsApply analytical and statistical methods to answer a variety of portfolio level business questions, using multiple data sources and technical toolsMonitor and assess the effectiveness of promotional efforts, projects, and practices and identify opportunities to optimize value of investmentsClearly and concisely present analytic methodology, results, and insights to stakeholdersProvide objective analysis and recommendations to support decision making and to enable the execution of key business initiativesPartner effectively and collaborate with internal divisions to provide holistic analytical insightBuild peer support and strong internal relationships with colleagues

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education:

BS/BA degree in STEM fields and 9+ years of related experience, advanced degree in quantitative field is preferred; orEquivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

At least 4 years of advanced analytics/applied statistics experience2- 3 years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience strongly preferredPrior marketing analytics experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong understanding of large commercial industry customer level dataset (social media, healthcare, insurance, finance etc.), promotional & marketing data, and longitudinal customer level dataExperience in advance analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, factor analysis, multivariate analysis preferredExperience analyzing large pharmaceutical secondary datasets (prescriber level, payer, patient / longitudinal, call activity, medical/retail claims) using advanced statistical techniques preferredExperience with customer segmentation, targeting, and promotional response measurementsDemonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses with strong problem-solving skillsExperience translating analyses into concise, compelling business stories that inform business decisions and strategyProven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentExpertise in standard business analysis and presentation software (Excel and Powerpoint).Experience in SAS, SPSS, or SQL is a plusA keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $156,000 - $222,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.

In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
