Position Title: Sr. R&D Manager
Position Location: Guangzhou, China
PRIMARY DUTIES
•Lead and manage the R&D team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to researchers and scientists.
•Develop and execute the company's research and development strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives and goals.
•Drive innovation by identifying research opportunities, emerging technologies, and market trends that can be leveraged to enhance existing products or develop new ones.
•Plan and manage R&D projects, including defining project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, to ensure successful execution.
•Oversee the design and implementation of experiments, tests, and trials to evaluate and validate new technologies, materials, or product concepts.
•Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and scientific excellence within the R&D team, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure effective coordination and integration of R&D efforts with other departments.
•Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and intellectual property rights in all R&D activities.
•Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to proactively identify potential opportunities and challenges for the organization.
•Manage the R&D budget, track expenditures, and optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and achieve cost-effective results.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field. 9 years experience in R&D management; Or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field. 7 years experience in R&D management; Or PhD in a relevant scientific field. 5 years experience in R&D management. preferably in a related industry or field.
•Strong technical background and knowledge in the specific area of research and development.
•Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
•Track record of successful product development and innovation, from concept to commercialization.
•Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
•Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and intellectual property considerations in R&D activities.
•Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a strong sense of initiative and drive for results.
