\nABOUT THE ROLE
\nAn excellent career opportunity is currently available for an Senior Lab Technician within Honeywell UOP’s R&D Materials Characterization group located in McCook, IL. This position provides a unique opportunity to analyze samples from across R&D, Pilot Plants, and commercial refineries around the world.
\nThe successful candidate will play a crucial role in our research and development efforts, with a specific focus on gas chromatography, elemental/ICP, wet chemistry, and organic analysis testing.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n\nPerform analytical testing on materials and process streams from R&D laboratory and pilot plants and manufacturing following internal procedures and industry guidelines.\nResponsible for setting up instruments, analyzing samples, conducting data quality checks and entering results into laboratory information system (LIMS).\nMaintain laboratory equipment and supplies.\nCommunicate with customers on analysis progress and results.\nParticipate in method development and equipment troubleshooting activities.\nPosition will include working some later shifts (eg 10am-6pm or 11am – 7pm), weekends and holidays. \n\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $63,000 - $78,800. MUST HAVE
\n\nDegree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline, or 5+ years of experience in laboratory or chemical field\n\nWE VALUE
