+ Deep Storage Experience: Extensive experience with file, block, and object storage, including parallel file systems such as EMC Isilon, VAST, Lustre, GPFS, Gluster, and Ceph. Proficient in storage protocols like NFS and SMB.
+ Technical Mastery: Extensive knowledge in deploying and managing systems that cover storage, cluster computing, networking, and databases.
+ In-Depth Data Management: Familiarity with Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) tools like Starfish, Ngenea, and Robinhood.
+ Linux Expertise: Advanced Linux system administration proficiency is preferred to ensure seamless operations.
+ Networking Know-How: Strong understanding and experience with the OSI model, Layer 2 & 3 switching, routing, and TCP/IP protocols.
+ Cloud Strategy: Demonstrated experience evaluating, deploying, and managing open-source tools such as EC2, EBS, and S3.
+ Performance Optimization: Skilled in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex systems for scalability and High Availability (HA).
+ Hands-On Experience: Eagerness to visit data centers for vendor liaison, installations, and maintenance.

Your responsibilities will encompass grasping the intricacies of storage technology and collaborating with the team to deliver robust storage solutions at a production level. The role necessitates the ability to handle various projects concurrently, offer guidance and training to junior team members as needed, and extend knowledge and support to the department.
