Sr Research Associate, Hybridoma - Contract - South San Francisco, CA
Proclinical is seeking an independent and motivated Scientist to join a research team.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have a focus on discovering and developing novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. This role involves generating rodent hybridomas across multiple projects, including antibodies to proteins, peptides, and cell membrane proteins. Familiarity with mice injections is essential.
Skills & Requirements:
MS and a minimum of 2+ years or BS and 5+ years of research experience and at least 1 year hands-on experience in hybridoma development.Proficiency in sterile techniques.Hands-on experience in hybridoma technology, including immunogen preparation, animal immunization and bleeding, cell culture, cell fusion, and post-fusion screening.Knowledge of the therapeutic antibody field and basic immunology.Molecular biology experience is a plus.Experience in neurodegeneration is advantageous.
The Sr Research Associate, Hybridoma's responsibilities will be:
Contribute to therapeutic antibody discovery using the hybridoma platform.Become proficient in multiple in-house platforms (FACS, ELISA, Forte Bio, WB) as needed.Collaborate with the lead scientist to generate target antibodies for various research programs.Execute all stages of antibody generation to deliver diverse panels of antibodies meeting required criteria.Integrate data from multiple sources (binding, epitope, and protein characterization) to generate a complete data package of antibody characterization.Maintain a strong focus, motivation, and commitment to hands-on lab work.Communicate effectively through excellent written and oral skills.Achieve goals within project team timelines.
