The Department of Surgery is currently searching for an experienced **_Sr. Research Program Coordinator_** who will primarily support the work of surgeon-scientists working in the field of lung transplantation. **Specific Duties & Responsibilities** + Collaborate with research team on scientific implementation, daily operation, and data management of all research related activities. + Manage, support, coordinate and implement study specific tasks as required including recruitment, data collection, biospecimen shipping and tracking, regulatory submissions and site coordination and training for multi-center projects where JH serves as the biospecimen core. + Conduct study participant visits, including inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. + Maintain study level documentation for assigned studies. + Merge, create, and recode variables to prepare data for analyses. + Prepare documents, annual reports, and amendments required by the IRB and FDA. + Under the direction of surgeon principal investigators, determine patient study eligibility, obtain informed consent, and initiate patient randomization and enrollment. + Act as a liaison for various studies with sponsors, study monitors, patients and their primary care providers. + Participate in staff meetings to report on screening, recruitment, and data collection progress and resolve problems. + Work under the direction of the Principal Investigators and Director of Clinical Trials to ensure successful completion of clinical research projects. + May be required to travel to satellite locations. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. + Three years related experience. + Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
