Candidates will be placed on the appropriate step of the career ladder based on their experience and licensure.
Responsibilities:
Administer high-risk therapies (e.g., Nitric Oxide, Tracheal Gas Insufflation). Perform advanced functions in various settings (OR, ED, Cath Lab, etc.). Conduct procedures like bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and 24-hour monitoring. Monitor patient responses to therapy and assist with breathing exercises. Maintain patient charts and order equipment repairs. Demonstrate procedures to trainees and supervise students. Assist in transporting ventilated patients and respond to code situations. Evaluate medical orders and interpret clinical data to optimize patient care. Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient function. Act as Lead Respiratory Therapist when needed, providing problem-solving, training, and technique demonstration.
