Sr Sales & Business Development Manager, Solution Providers

Position Overview
The Sr Sales & Business Development Manager, Solution Providers will serve as the external face of T-Mobile to prospect high value connected solution and service provider (CSP) partners, owning the full sales cycle from outreach to full execution and management of the contract and partner relationship. Your job is to engage new partners and shorten the sales cycle to maximize revenue opportunities for your targeted accounts in your funnel and assigned territories. You will drive the creation and development of new partnerships structuring related product/service strategies vital to T-Mobile’s connected solution and service provider business. This leader will be responsible for progressing partner opportunities through all funnel stages, closing deals and delivering against metrics. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain the support and approvals required to accelerate the full execution and delivery of the partner deals. You will also work alongside implementation and support teams to onboard and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of your partner portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and drive the complete sales cycle of new CSP partnerships: a) Structure complex strategic CSP partnerships, b) develop key economic, business, and operational models C) negotiate win-win commercial terms maximizing the value of the deal d) drive and execute detailed contracts with support from the Legal team. Establish repeatable processes to prioritize and close new opportunitiesResponsible for identifying new connected solution and service provider opportunities, building & managing sales funnel, close deals and meeting and exceeding the sales objectives.

Bachelor’s preferred


Work Experience:

More than 10 years Strategic Sales and Business Development experience in wholesale wireless, high-tech, or consumer electronics industries, or with wireless industry OEMs (Required)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Negotiation:  Experience in negotiating complete complex contracts/exhibits, RFP and RFI responses, co-marketing agreements, and related documentation and collaboration (Required)Analysis:  Exceptionally strong strategic, industry, and financial/economic analysis skills. Solid Excel financial modeling skills (Preferred)Modeling:  Experience leading business case modeling for complex >$100M deals (Preferred)Analysis:   Ability to analyze and model data for the development of specific strategies, goals, and tactics (Required)Wireless Technologies:  Sound technical foundation understanding of key wireless and internet technologies and understanding wireless telecom network and OSS/BSS technologies (Required)Product Knowledge:  Keen and broad business acumen understanding of a wide range of wireless business models (Required)Communication:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including CEO-level PowerPoint presentation (Required)Presentations:   Expert presentation and public speaking skills (Required)Management:   Experience as analyst or engagement manager for top tier management consulting firm (Preferred)Cross Functional Team:   Building Strong cross-functional experience with engineering, operations, finance, product development, marketing, and other business groups (Required)Portfolio Management Experience: Managing a large portfolio of external partners (- major partners), with direct accountability for P&L and/or partner revenue for $20M+ year business (Required)Contract Management:  Ability to manage multiple-term sheet and contracting processes, leveraging internal and external counsel (Required)Team Leadership:  Ability to lead in a complex matrixed environment without direct authority and successfully lead to execute with excellence and strong results (Required)

Base Pay Range: $137,700 - $248,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
