We are seeking a highly motivated Sr Scientist to join our Protein Expression Sciences Department. The successful candidate will be creating antibody production cell lines using Regeneron’s state of the art mammalian expression technologies as well as developing new technologies to further advance our expression platform utilizing Gene Editing.
A Typical Day May Include:Applying innovative mammalian expression technologies to generate regulatory compliant stable cell linesPerforming techniques such as aseptic cell culture, handling and transfection of cell linesPerforming of flow cytometry assays and operating liquid handler platforms (Hamilton) to analyze stable cell linesPerforming general molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques e.g., PCR, RT-PCR, plasmid sub-cloning, isolation of genomic DNA and RNA from CHO cells, SDS-PAGE, western blottingIndependently designing, conducting, and analyzing multicolor flow-cytometry experimentsAnalyzing and presenting data in at smaller team and broader department meetingsMaintaining complete, accurate, and timely records of experiments and data analysisThis Job May Be For You If:Have a passion for innovation and desire to lead new scientific directions.You are able to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently without direct supervision.You can work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.You have a strong desire to develop your skills and work with cross functional team.To be considered for this position, you should have a PhD with 0-3 years of postdoctoral experience, or a BS/MS with 4-8 years of experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, and/or Molecular Biology. Hands-on technical experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, antibody staining, as well as molecular biology techniques like PCR and cloning is necessary. Experience with gene editing, lentivirus infections, CRISPR library workflows and NGS, is a plus. The level of the position will be commensurate with your experience.
