What will you do?
Inventory managementUse inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.Equipment maintenance and service support:Servicing and general maintenance of equipment located.Coordination and collecting of equipment to be sent for maintenance to outside vendors.Escorting of vendors on premises to provide additional contracted services (laundry, gasses, waste collection, dry ice, etc.)Removing of lab waste and staging for pickup by vendors.Environmental health and safety preventative monthly maintenance checks and services.Essential Functions:Assists with data collection, report generation and site metric development in support of contractual obligations and standard process methodologies.Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP’s & work instructions.Independently makes decisions and uses available resources to meet customer requirements.Communicates with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems.Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and enhancements without the presence of site trainer and management team.Listens to customer concerns, effectively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action.Adopts Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.Access & use Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Intranet and SharePoint document management system.How will you get here?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in Inventory management and procurement. Preferably pertaining to life sciences industry preferred.Ability to operate efficiently under minimal direction.Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.Receiving and handling of goods involves physical labor. Able to safely pickup up to 40lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time.Detail oriented, problem solver, and an extraordinary teammate.Computer/software skills (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Must deliver excellent customer service to include always maintaining a professional appearance.Must possess the operating skills to use handheld scanners and learn to enter data in various systems as needed.Flexibility to potentially service various customer locations within reasonable range.Pay range is $25-28hr with competitive benefits.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $19.64–$29.45.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
