Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Sr Site Specialist. As a world-class leader in scientific research and innovation, we are dedicated to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Location: Tarrytown, NY

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Pay: $26-29/hr, depending on experience

What will you do?

Maintain inventory and storage units, including receiving deliveries, restocking, and performing physical inventory

Order inventory and ensure proper mix of products in the Supply Center

Maintain merchandising standards and branding of the Supply Center

Proactively seek feedback and improve business relationships internally and externally

Respond to customer inquiries and maintain customer lists and records

Provide real-time customer and competitive intelligence

Support eBusiness initiatives and leverage key account relationships

Plan and support on-site promotional events related to the Supply Center.

Communicate ideas for inventory management efficiency to the team

How will you get here?

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's in science or related field, preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of proven customer service experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills

Proven ability to successfully implement inventory management strategies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Ability to effectively use inventory management systems

Working Conditions:

Works hours must be performed during normal business hours to match delivery times and customer hours.

Daily car travel to and from account locations is required.

Is required to lift up to 50 lbs.

May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing work duties.

Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.

This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.42–$32.00.
