Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure for New Products Introduction (NPI), and released product (IB).Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & visionTranslate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standardsWork with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plansDrive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuseSupport process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activitiesWork cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverablesDrive world-class quality in the development and support of productsEnsure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and resultsEngage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledgeApply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing TechniquesWrite code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the projectUnderstand performance parameters and assess application performanceWork on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosenProactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timelinessUnderstand whole product, its modules, and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module.Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).Minimum of 7+ years of experience in object-oriented design and programming in a production software environment using Agile development methodologies.Hands-on experience in Linux based products with C++, Python, embedded Devp and CMinimum of 5 years of strong coding experience in C, C++ and design pattern experience.Strong debugging skills, working with existing, complex code base.Proven background as a technical leader for end-to-end systems & experiences.Business Acumen:
Understanding of medical devices/ medical software developmentDemonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problemsSkilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating effortsDemonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trendsHas the ability to analyze impact of technology choicesLeadership:
