From requirements to certification, you will be instrumental in defining, coding, verifying, and delivering these critical systems that keep the world’s airways safe. **Role Overview:** As an **Sr Software Engineer** , you will be part of a talented team responsible for the design, development, and certification of software solutions for aerospace products. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with advanced technologies, including inertial sensors, GPS, and Kalman filters, while navigating the complexities of safety and regulatory environments. **Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** + **Requirements Decomposition & Work Assignments:** Break down system requirements and assign tasks to the development team. + **Sensor Management & Navigational Feature Design:** Define and implement the software solutions for sensor integration and navigation features. + **Software Architecture & Coding:** Develop embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) software to meet stringent safety and performance requirements. + **Integration & System Activities:** Integrate and test software solutions with both simulation tools and hardware systems. + **Certification & Artifacts:** Ensure software solutions meet industry certifications and contribute to the creation of certification artifacts for government and safety organizations. + **Unit Testing & Coordination:** Conduct unit tests and manage external verification and validation activities. + **Factory Deployment & Support:** Oversee the deployment of software solutions to manufacturing and provide ongoing support. **You Must Have:** + **Bachelor’s degree** in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. + **7+ years of quantified experience** in software engineering using **ADA** . **We Value:** + Deep knowledge of various software development lifecycles, including **Waterfall** and **Agile** methodologies. + Proven ability to develop **efficient, high-quality embedded software** and architecture. + Experience with **DDC-I DeOS operating system** and embedded **sensor management** . + Expertise in **GPS (SASSM or M-Code)** and **Kalman Filter implementation** or optimization. + Experience in **certified/regulated safety environments** with **Ada & C/C++** . + Familiarity with **OpenArbor Ada toolset** . + Strong knowledge of **software configuration and change management** (e.g., **GIT** , **BitBucket** , **Jira** ). + Ability to collaborate in **diverse global teams** and communicate effectively across disciplines. + Leadership experience and the ability to coordinate projects and teams across multiple domains. + **Quick decision-making skills** in complex scenarios, balancing analysis and decisiveness. + Ability to clearly convey complex information tailored to the audience. **Why Join Us:** At PDS Tech Commercial we’re not just developing software—we’re defining the future of aerospace technology.
