As a Sr. Specialist Systems Administration, you will be responsible for ensuring continual service availability by proactively monitoring, analyzing, and resolving issues in production on-premises cloud infrastructure which will require working with teams such as architecture, labs, other operations support teams, and cloud tenants to maintain maximum stability, performance, and security of the current and future cloud environments via the DevOps model while utilizing subject matter expertise in at least some of the following: Linux, cloud computing, Kubernetes, Open

Are experienced with e-mail and Mail Transfer Agents (MTA) / mail servers with a passion for managing robust e-mail solutions?  Are you ready to manage a shared MTA environment that transports millions of emails for 1000+ applications in Azure?  The Global Technology & Operations team is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of and experience with e-mail and how it works end-to-end.  This role will primarily focus on administering HMail on Windows servers in the Azure cloud.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Maintain AT&T’s internal shared MTA / mail server environment

Onboard new applications to shared MTA environment

Provide additional support for day-to-day operations of AT&T’s Exchange environments, both on-premises and online

Work with developers across AT&T to ensure e-mail standards are met as it pertains to sending and receiving emails

Partner with peers on the SMTP Relay side of the business to ensure seamless delivery of emails across AT&T

Ensure that new security standards such as TLS 1.3, anti-spam, data loss protection (DLP) are being met in the shared MTA environment

Provide support for internal help desk tickets as related to shared MTA

Develop and maintain detailed documentation of shared MTA architecture, configurations, and procedures

Weeklong on-call responsibilities for issues and troubleshooting up to multiple times a year, including holidays

Required Experience:

Requires 2-3 years of experience

Experience in designing, implementing, and managing mail transfer agents / mail servers

Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks will be a plus

Experience with Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud solutions

Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and related infrastructure components

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience preferred

Our Sr. Specialist Systems Engineering earn between $85,700 - $144,000 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
