Job Summary

Supervise and assist with the training of the regional M&R / Operations crews in the installation, operation, maintenance, and compliance activities associated with gas regulator, metering and odorizer facilities including city gate stations, district stations and large commercial and industrial meter sets.  
 

Duties and Responsibilities Compliance – Manage, coordinate and supervise activities related to timely completion of compliance activities such as identifying out of compliance facilities and correcting them, coordinating station, farm tap and large end user inspections, meter and device testing and change-outs, overpressure protection equipment testing, sniff testing, and other compliance related activities as well as interact with regulatory officials, UGI Engineering, Telemetry, Environmental, Standards, and Corrosion Department personnel in insuring regulatory compliance as well as compliance to company standards and procedures. Safety – Promote a culture of safety with the goal of zero accidents, injuries, and incidents. Support the company’ safety initiatives. Identify safety risks and work to prioritize and mitigate them. System Reliability – Work with engineering, C&M, Telemetry, contractors, customers, and other personnel as well as manage spare parts inventories to insure proper function of the regulator station equipment, odorization, and meter facilities. Supervise, in coordination with Engineering, activities throughout the year and during cold weather events that insure distribution system stability. Participate, supervise and/or manage regulator station and large meter set maintenance and construction activities, including maintenance of buildings and grounds associated with those facilities. Establish and maintain favorable relationships with employees, customers, political representatives, and the general public. Minimize union grievances and respond to customer complaints with good human relations skills to build a favorable public image while also arriving at equitable resolutions. Promote development within your team through mentoring, training, and coaching. Budget – Help in developing M&R O&M and Capital projects and budgets and manage projects, budgets and overtime to keep company costs within fiscal constraints. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of UGI Safety policies and procedures. Working knowledge of UGI MSP, GOM, CPG Operations Procedure Manuals and relevant sections of Federal Code 192 that pertain to Regulation, and PA Title 52, Chapter 59 relating to metering. Working knowledge of labor agreements and employee handbook. Working knowledge of UGI computer system (DOJM, Walker, OPS, CIS, Seagate, CAD, SAP, Business Intelligence,  R2, Workforce, People Connect, SuccessFactors). Knowledge of local municipal rules and practices. Education and Experience High School Diploma or Higher. 5-10 years’ experience.
