Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceMinimum of 6 years of experience on P-3, DHC-8, or other multi-engine aircraft or 8 years of applicable aviation experienceThorough understanding of engineering principles and practicesExperience with Computer Aided Engineering toolsAbility to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsAdvanced knowledge of Static and/or Dynamic AnalysesThe ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer:
Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYSExperience performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools such as NASGRO or AFGROWAbility to perform classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methodsKnowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processesAbility to author substantiation reportsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustrySNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
