Sr Sustainability Specialist

Our engineering and product innovation help keep soldiers and firefighters safe, is critical in building and keeping communities clean and helps people do their jobs every day.** **JOB SUMMARY:** The Sr. Sustainability Specialist will work with our sustainability team to drive sustainability strategy, programs, and engagement across the company and with our stakeholders. The Sr Specialist will be responsible for tasks essential to advancing the overall corporate sustainability performance. This role will manage sustainability initiatives, support environmental and sustainability projects, provide guidance and recommendations to all our business segments, and engage with internal and external parties to increase engagement and awareness. The Sr Specialist will also build and maintain effective relationships with other business functions, business segments, community representatives and third parties. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned. + Participate in the development and publishing of annual corporate sustainability report. + Complete annual SASB and ISSB/TCFD reports. + Actively participate in external sustainable reporting efforts including but not limited to DJSI, CDP and EcoVadis. + Assist in CSRD compliance efforts. + Assist in meeting Oshkosh Corporation’s Science Based Targets. + Work with Senior Environmental manager in tracking and publishing Key Performance Indicators. + Serve as Coordinator of the Corporate Sustainability Leadership Team. Develop agendas, record and publish meeting minutes. Help develop corporate wide sustainability initiatives. + Responsible for maintaining Global Headquarters Fitwell certification. + Train team members on company environmental and sustainability procedures and policies including new hire orientation. + Coordinate, maintain, and upgrade the Environmental and Sustainability Departments’ Sharepoint sites and file share drive. + Implement sustainability and environmental projects as needed. + Institute and lead Global Headquarters Green Team to engage employees on sustainability related topics. + Own sustainability data management software relationship with outside vendor. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelor’s degree in related field. + Five (5) or more years of experience. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Self-motivator with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work effectively with a team. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Flexibility and strong desire to be a key contributor to a successful team for a company viewed as a Sustainability leader. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Knowledge of sustainability reporting initiatives such as GRI, SBTs, CDP, TCFD, SASB + Familiarity with industry sustainability standards, tools, metrics and third-party partners. + Knowledge of green building certifications + Technical knowledge of carbon reduction strategies and technologies. + Experience managing projects especially related to greenhouse gas reduction **Pay Range:** $82,000.00 - $132,800.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
