The Sr System Operations Project Manager-Non Clinical is responsible for managing and facilitation of large scale projects, developing programs, analyzing data, providing support, and analysis to Innovate performance and operational improvement teams and Innovate Physician Advisories. Primary responsibility for the facilitation of multidisciplinary, collaborative Innovate teams across the system chartered to reduce variation, reduce cost, and improve quality. The Sr System Operations Project Manager-Non Clinical will serve as an Internal Consultant with the key responsibility to advise Innovate teams and leadership on process improvement, using evidence-based processes to improve outcomes and reduce costs, and at the same time, to advise teams on strategies to improve physician, staff, patient experience. The incumbent will facilitate the development of strong milestones (project plans) and identify metrics and measurement to achieve the team’s targets and goals, with a focus on communications and engagement of key stakeholders, including physicians and staff. The Sr System Operations Project Manager-Non Clinical will use and support database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, produce reports and a working knowledge of most if not all the following: Action O I, TSI, Press Ganey, Care Discovery, Epic clinical documentation and CMS and Joint Commission Guidelines. In addition, the Sr System Operations Project Manager-Non Clinical will research new data sources and analytical tools and develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events effecting the organizations. The candidate may also provide support and analysis for Patient Experience, utilization costs, quality metrics, and other analysis as requested, using data sources such as Epic, TSI, Lawson, Care Discovery, Midas, and Action OI
Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance or MIS. Master’s degree from accredited program preferred. Documentation of coursework or work experience in statistics, facilitation, project management, data analysis or research methods required.
Experience: Five or more years’ experience in healthcare (e.g., Operations, Nursing, or Other Clinical area, etc.). Three or more years’ experience in data analysis, decision support or finance with knowledge of analytical tools, such as spreadsheet applications and data bases. Demonstrated experience in facilitation, project management and healthcare operations.
Skills/Other: Extensive knowledge of healthcare finance including, but not limited to balance sheets, CPT and DRG codes, and revenue and usage reports. Participation in successful process improvement initiatives, especially Lean activities. Documented examples of learning agility. Report-writing and training/coaching/mentoring experience preferred.
