A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a leading provider of intelligent and automated cybersecurity solutions, is seeking a Systems Engineer in Japan -Tokyo.
A10 Networks’ System Engineers act in a Pre-Sales role promoting A10 product solutions. In this role, you’ll perform customer demonstrations explaining features and benefits to customers, assist the customer with network designs, and configure equipment to meet specific customer requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing technical and sales support for accounts and channel in assigned territoryPerform presentations (technical, products, solution, demo) for customers, partners and prospectsAssist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunitiesBe responsible for POC (Proof of Concept) testing, RFP & technical solutions drafting, competitor analysis, training materials, media soft paper and promotional documentation organizingInternal training for sales and marketing team; external training for Channel partners & key customersRemote and on-site support for customer technical problemOn-site technical support for key customers technical troubleshooting

What We’re Looking For

A bachelor’s degree in EE or CS (or equivalent) with 8+ years of related industry experienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in Pre-sales roleKnowledge of Layer-4-7 protocols and technologies, such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS and SSLTTLSStrong L2/L3 expertise with an emphasis on Network Routing Protocols, such as OSPF/BGPIn-depth knowledge in multiple areas of specialization: Virtualization, Cloud-Native, Application Acceleration, DDOS mitigation, IPv4 Preservation/IPv6 Migration technologies and Traffic SecurityExperience in at least one of the following areas: Application Delivery Controller, Enterprise Applications, Network SecurityAbility to work independently, effective and as a team member

Way to Stand Out:

Relevant certifications (e.g., A10 Certified professional, CCNA / CCNP / CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIP ,  F5 201/301/401 , Palo Alto / Fortinet certified engineer) are highly desirableScripting programming experience in Shell or TCL along with Unix/Linux technical experienceExperience with container orchestration solutions (eg: OpenShift, Kubernetes)Experienced with below products/experiences will be a big plus:Routers including L2/L3 switches, including BGP/OSPFCarrier Grade NAT/CGNVirtual Machine environment such as VMware/Xen/KVMF5 Product line/Citrix Netscaler product lineRadware product lineBroadcom ProxySG related product lineFirewall products such as Juniper/Fortinet product lineCloud related Solution using such as Azure/Google/Amazon
