Sr Systems Analyst
Overview This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the U.S. Lead analytic efforts, deliver strategic insight, and act as a technical expert for business systems within the Bank. Perform at the highest level of service complexity in support of system operations, performance, and usage. Develop advanced solutions and specifications to resolve process issues, which may involve elements of testing and development. Serve as a resource to wider business units or associates and may provide guidance for less experienced analysts. Source, compile, and interpret data. Perform data analysis at the most advanced level, effectively communicating and directing analysis output. May handle special projects or direct the analytics efforts of the work group. Determine system requirements and communicate them through the use of specifications, reports, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Determine and resolve complex factors that affect system processes. Ensure compliance through monitoring and analysis. Enable strategic insight into business systems through reports to senior management. Evaluate systems based on data analysis, user input, and extensive testing. Convey patterns, problems, and areas of improvement, and develop process enhancements based on results. Provide expert technical support for systems by responding to inquiries, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve the end-user experience. Handle escalated and complex support issues. Develop and implement modifications and enhancements. Serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units, offering expertise on systems and data output. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy. The position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as Programmer Analyst, Implementation Consultant, or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience as Programmer Analyst, Implementation Consultant, or a related occupation. Requires experience with JIRA and Confluence. Requires experience providing strategy, business development and technology implementation services to investment banks, broker/dealers, exchanges and clearing houses, hedge funds, investment/wealth management and trading organizations. Requires experience with design, development, integration, implementation and maintenance of Business Intelligence platforms. Requires experience addressing Regulatory & Compliance development, for example Dodd Frank, Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) Migration, Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR), and Liquidity Stress Testing. Requires experience implementing solutions using the iterative delivery methodologies Agile and Kanban. Requires financial modeling experience including yield curve construction, pricing, Correlation Matrix, Volatility Surface, Stress Testing and Value at Risk (VAR). Requires knowledge of asset liability management and funds transfer pricing. Requires experience with market data feeds such as Reuters/Bloomberg. Requires knowledge of Treasury Management System, Asset Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Liquidity Risk Management, and Stress Testing. Requires experience with the following BI reporting tools: Tableau Desktop and PowerBI. Requires an experience with the following databases: SQL Server and PostgreSQL. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy. The base pay for this position is generally between $131,893 to $169,236 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
