This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of AutoZone’s hardware, software and/or network systems. This includes teaching domain expertise, providing technical guidance and mentoring, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required. RESPONSIBILITIES + Technical Leadership & Development + Spearheads the backend and middleware development initiatives for the QE portal, ensuring robust and scalable solutions + Architects and executes the cloud migration strategy from on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) + Establishes and maintains technical excellence through implementation of best coding practices and architectural patterns + Team & Code Quality Management + Drives code quality through regular code reviews and enforcement of development standards + Evaluates and ensures contractor-delivered code meets performance and quality benchmarks + Manages deployment processes and release cycles with focus on stability and reliability + Technical Planning & Cross-team Collaboration + Translates business and functional requirements into actionable technical tasks + Coordinates development efforts between frontend, backend, and QA teams + Creates and maintains technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives + Professional Development + Mentors team members and establishes growth paths for engineering career development + Promotes knowledge sharing and technical skill development within the team + Guides architectural decisions and technical direction for long-term sustainability REQUIREMENTS: + A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. + Professional English communication. + Java : For robust backend development. + Spring Boot and Spring JPA : To design and develop efficient and secure APIs. + Cloud technologies: For designing, deploying, and managing applications in the cloud. GCP Desired (cloud run, pubsub, cloud logging, PCF also works) + JavaScript : To ensure seamless frontend and backend integration. + SQL : For data manipulation and optimization of complex queries. + Kafka or RabbitMQ : For effective messaging and event-driven architecture. + Frontend technologies like React : For developing dynamic and user-friendly interfaces. + Microservices architecture : To migrate and build scalable, modular application components. + CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab : For streamlined deployment processes and automation. + Design Patterns knowledge + Unit Testing, JUnit5 AutoZone, and its subsidiary, ALLDATA are equal opportunity employers.
