Our Collins Aerospace facility in Ottawa is a world leader in wireless communications networking, with products such as high-data-rate HF/VHF/UHF modems and the Self Configuring Relay Network (SCRN) for ad-hoc wireless networks.  Collins Aerospace Canada is developing the next generation of HF radios that support significant throughput improvements and ad-hoc networking features, as well as developing Software Defined Radio networking waveforms for customers around the world.   We are in need of enthusiastic team-players to join our team in Ottawa.  This role is one of an individual contributor, working under direction of technical leadership.

    

What You Will Do

Perform laboratory functions involving the repair and rework of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems for both new and customer returned product.Execute key tasks including the building, testing and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.Support quality inspection activities as required.Utilize schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and follow written/verbal instructions, including test procedures.Review illustration of workflow, routing, floor layouts, or material handling.May assist with operation and configuration of test and demonstration setups.May work under moderate supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks.May collaborate with higher level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results.  Execution of test procedures may be required.


Qualifications You Must Have

Must be a Canadian Citizen.Must either hold or be eligible for a Government of Canada Secret Level Security Clearance and Controlled Good Access.Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceCandidates require an ability to rework printed circuit card and cable assemblies.Candidates must be comfortable with use of spectrum analyzers, voltmeters and oscilloscopes; and proficient users of Microsoft Word and Excel.
