The Aerospace Technical Support Organization, ATS, responds to customer technical inquiries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The organization responds to issues globally and across all aerospace products and systems. All team members provide their support for customer satisfaction and added value to Honeywell by ensuring that the required customer, product, and system support exists for timely issue resolution.
What Are We Looking For?
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced, and highly skilled individual to join our team EMEAI as an Avionic Field Service Engineer. This role will involve providing assistance and expertise to the services centre on fixing Air Transport and Regional aircraft, in particular the Avionics systems and components. This could be in the form of telephone support, email support, or by visiting numerous sites within the EMEAI region to provide onsite assistance.
Day to Day Responsibilities?
· Provide direct troubleshooting assistance to customers responding real time to customer technical inquires via phone, email and on-site presence as necessary.
· Routing and escalation of technical issues within the support organization
· Capture and tracking of customer issues through CRM tool Sales Force
· Maintain ownership of technical issue through closure
· Manage and document customer communications via SFDC and own case closure
· Manage issue resolution against identified service level goals
· Participate actively in technical expert teams
· Contribute to knowledge management of technical issues for easy re-use
· Provide significant collaboration and coaching to peers, based on knowledge and expertise
· Participate in project teams: product/technical related, process related, organizational related
· Visit customers as part of the Pro-Active Contact Plan (Customer Connect).
· Other activities may be assigned, depending on organizational and/or business requirements
What Skills & Experience Do You Need?
· You must have substantial Air Transport and Regional (ATR) experience, and knowledge
· You will have a degree or strong proven experience in avionics/aviation/aerospace
· You will have a sound and proven practical background within avionic electronic systems
· You must have previous and considerable experience within the maintenance and troubleshooting or avionic, and aviation
· You will ideally have SATCOM knowledge, but this is not essential
