Sr Technical Analyst (Fixed Income)

Role Summary

The T Rowe Price Fixed Income Technology team, operating within the Front Office Investments Technology department, is looking for an experienced analyst to partner with our business stakeholders and engineering teams to build out the next generation of cloud-first investment management tooling. The role will be tasked with the development of a new vendor integration aimed at fixed income Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs).

Collaborating across multiple investment and technology teams, you will:

Understand the holistic needs of stakeholders and propose innovative technology solutions to drive business outcomes.Collaborate with Engineering Teams to build a product roadmap, ensure product features align to the long-term strategic needs of stakeholders.Be regarded as the go to / Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SMA taxable fixed income portfolio management within the technology division.Design data architecture workflow for SMA platform integration

This role is an evolution of the traditional BA role, with emphasis placed on mixing subject matter expertise with an engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

Own the entire SMA taxable fixed income product lifecycle integration, develop, communicate, and execute the vision, strategy, and product roadmap Understand Investment fixed income product strategy and ensure alignment across design, data, and engineering Establish product KPI's to measure and improve both the user experience and the development processCollaborate with strategic data/vendor providers to coordinate the sequence of deliveries across the Taxable SMA programDrive application development and implementation through using business and technical knowledge to resolve blockers, through championing innovative and practical solutionsAct with a lean-agile mind-set to ensure organizational agilityProactively identify, lead, and help to influence discussions with the business to help solve a business problem, including various trade-offs and recommended approach

Qualifications

Required:

BS/MS degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related technical analysis experienceSubject Matter Expertise in fixed income & investment workflowsExperience with fixed income products, derivatives, and analytics within an asset management firmSystems analysis or experience working with and analyzing data for Front Office functionsExperience with project analysis and planning (e.g., user story mapping)General knowledge and awareness of macro financial markets and more specifically, the Asset Management industrySolid data analysis skills - SQL database queries, Excel/Access file manipulation, Jupyter notebooks

Preferred:

Working knowledge of Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs)Working knowledge of Charles River Investment Management SolutionsWorking knowledge of Archer Investment Manager Services

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$102,000.00 - $175,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$112,000.00 - $192,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$128,000.00 - $218,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
