Position OverviewWe are searching for a Senior Technical Editor to support our USCYBERCOM customer.
ResponsibilitiesReviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency. Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields. Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text. Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance. Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
Assists in the management of all J2 finished intelligence products approved for external dissemination.
Researches and collects information from internal and external stakeholder subject matter experts as well as other sources.
Analyzes, interprets, cross-checks and edits intelligence products, as required, to ensure accuracy and compliance with associated Intelligence Community guidance
Organizes information, determines optimum method of presentation, and creates content according to plan.
Ensures completed materials fulfill the specified purpose and scope.Assists in determining and supervising the production process for completed materials.May mentor junior technical editors. Required Qualifications Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly, or ability to obtain poly prior to start date #QinetiqClearedJobSenior Level: BS with 10-12 years experience, MS with 8-10 years experience or PhD 5-7 years experience.
Preferred Qualifications Desired Certifications: Technical writing certification and/or other specialized education and training in technical writing and editing.Other KSA: Knowledge and experience with DoD and IC intelligence technical writing in accordance with IC guidance, to include, but not limited to ICDs 206, 209, 501 and 710.
