Sr Web/Fullstack Engineer, Developer Platform

The Frontend Developer Platform team is part of the greater Infrastructure organization with a shared mission to drive engineering velocity for all teams. Platform engineers are impactful, high-leverage force-multipliers; we thrive by causally improving the effectiveness of the entire engineering organization. We work directly with our stakeholders, exercising the right amount of empathy to help define and scope our projects. We are not an operations team.Responsibilities:Identify pain points in frontend web development workflows and implement solutions to improve developer productivity and happiness.Build and maintain internal tools, libraries, and frameworks that enhance frontend development efficiency across the company.Define and advocate for SDLC best practices tailored to frontend development, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability.Champion performance monitoring, logging, and error-tracking best practices to enhance application reliability and maintainability.Conduct workshops, create documentation, and mentor engineers to drive adoption of frontend best practices across teams.Research emerging frontend technologies, assess their applicability to the organization, and guide their adoption when beneficial.
Ideal Candidate will have:Frontend Development ExpertiseSubstantial experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs, including designing client-side data fetching patterns and optimizing API interactions.Strong understanding of performance profiling, browser rendering behavior, and strategies for improving application speed and efficiency.Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working across team and organizational boundaries; experience working closely with backend, infrastructure, product, and design teams.
Technical Writing and Documentation – Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation and tutorials to drive adoption of tools and best practices.
Emerging Technology Evaluation – Experience researching, evaluating, and advocating for new frontend technologies or tools to improve team productivity.
5+ years experience in a professional development environment.
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $138,380 - $195,470 + equity + benefitsZone B: $159,137 - $224,791 + equity + benefitsZone C: $172,975 - $244,338 + equity + benefitsZone D: $179,894 - $254,111 + equity + benefits
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.
Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations.
