The key responsibilities of the Account Executive include managing a book of customers and products in the Food Service segment of our Consumer Packaging North America Division, selling plastic cups, lids, and other foodservice packaging. This person will be actively involved at multiple levels within the organization in discussions and decisions for existing and future business developments. This position will be responsible for maintaining and growing the assigned territory to accelerate growth and profitability for our customers and for Berry.

 

**Preferred Candidates will be located in the Western Coast or Midwest and located near major airports**

Responsibilities Develop new business and increase profitability within the region by driving organic growth of existing accountsDevelop business beyond current accounts as part of a formalized plan, to be aligned with the Sales Director. Develop and execute strategic plans to provide organic growth to Berry, including a strong pipeline of active opportunities for future business with your customersAlign key Berry resource personnel with their customer counterparts to develop deep customer relationshipsSuccessfully identify solutions Berry can provide to enable broad account relationships at the mid to high levels while spreading throughout the functional areas of each organizationAbility to drive business on a regional / national / global basis where applicable, travel as neededImplementation and support of robust commercial processes (such as sales pipeline maintenance using company software) to provide visibility of your business throughout the organization and enable effective communicationIdentify and develop key internal resources required to achieve customer growth goals Qualifications Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent3-5 years of sales experience in distribution, direct sales, or national accounts requiredCandidates with 3+ years of experience in the packaging field or in a related area will be preferredKnowledge of plastics category will be preferred (injection molding, thermoforming, and IML)Self-starter who is results orientedExcellent communication and presentation skills; be prepared to share a writing sampleAbility to work cross-functionally to drive business solutionsSolid relationship building focusProficient computer and organizational skillsAbility to learn new products and technologiesEffective analytical and problem-solving mindsetStrong negotiation and business skill setsPrefer candidates who live on the West Coast or Midwest, near a major airportUp to 50% travel, although the job is remotely based Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
