Description We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. This is a long-term contract opportunity where you will play a key role in overseeing and managing all aspects of accounting within a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting principles, demonstrate proficiency with ERP software, and have experience supporting month-end close processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily accounting operations, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger management. • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Manage and execute month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Utilize ERP software to maintain financial records and streamline accounting functions. • Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies. • Create and analyze financial reports, offering insights to support decision-making processes. • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting and forecasting activities. • Provide occasional support for light HR functions, if needed. • Maintain and improve accounting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role. • Proficiency with ERP software, • Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Demonstrated expertise in month-end and balance sheet reconciliation processes. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex data sets. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and financial reporting standards. • Ability to work independently as the sole accountant within the team.
