Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Chicago, Illinois, 60616-5308, United States. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring alignment with financial regulations. Your role will involve managing complex accounting issues, developing budgets, and enhancing ERP software for financial data management. Responsibilities: • Execute day-to-day accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities. • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. • Address complex accounting issues, including regulatory compliance and technical matters. • Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial forecasts, aligning with organizational goals. • Maintain and improve accounting processes to ensure consistent application of internal controls. • Utilize and enhance ERP software for efficient financial data management, reporting, and analysis. • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and reporting standards. • Participate in audits and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed. • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to entry level accounting staff and promote cross-functional collaboration.
