Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This role requires a strong foundation in technical accounting, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a dedication to maintaining robust internal controls. You will work closely with cross-functional and international teams, contributing to a high-performing group that supports the company’s growth through strategic initiatives. For immediate interview please contact Victor Muller at 508 205 2136 Responsibilities: • Conduct due diligence and participate in planning meetings for acquisitions to assess accounting requirements and implications. • Oversee the purchase price accounting process for newly acquired entities. • Collaborate with divisional finance teams to address reporting needs, establish master data, and perform tasks such as creating entity codes, cost centers, and chart of accounts mapping. • Carry out functional currency assessments for acquired entities to ensure compliance with financial standards. • Coordinate with divisional teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data. • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency. • Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment to support team success. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of technical accounting principles. • Proven ability to collaborate with global teams effectively. • Proficiency in conducting technical accounting research, interpreting regulations, and documenting conclusions. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tools like SAP. • Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and aptitude for managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships. • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
