Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting processes and have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance with financial standards. • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure proper documentation and reporting. • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. • Create and post journal entries with precision and attention to detail. • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed within deadlines. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports. • Work with Oracle systems for accurate financial management and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of balance sheet and bank reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in managing the general ledger and preparing journal entries. • Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting practices. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to handle complex data sets. • Familiarity with Oracle or similar financial systems. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
