Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas, on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in account reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end close processes. The position offers an opportunity to utilize your expertise in financial operations while contributing to the success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Manage bank reconciliations efficiently, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Create and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and generate reports.
• Support the month-end close process by reviewing accounts and preparing necessary adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
• Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
