Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is fully onsite and requires a detail-oriented individual capable of handling various accounting tasks with precision. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial operations while working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
• Perform cash handling duties, including monitoring and reconciling cash balances.
• Approve purchase orders and oversee expense checkbook management.
• Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets and perform bank reconciliations.
• Utilize general ledger expertise to manage journal entries and ensure proper financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end close procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Conduct data entry tasks related to financial records and transactions.
• Work with M3 Accounting Core software to support the organization's financial operations.
• Leverage basic Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong skills in bank reconciliations, balance sheet management, and general ledger activities.
• Familiarity with M3 Accounting Core or similar hospitality accounting systems is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data handling and reporting.
• Ability to manage cash handling and expense tracking with precision.
• Experience conducting month-end close procedures.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
