Description Robert Half is currently partnering with a Bloomington, Minnesota based client, in search of a Senior Accountant to join their organization. In this role, you will report directly to the owner of the company and be the sole financial accountant for a small firm. You will work closely with the A/P Specialist and other members of the team, but will ultimately be the main liaison for financial reporting, budgeting and management of the monthly close process. Specific responsibilities include: • Reconcile all G/L and subledger accounts • Perform weekly cash flow forecasting • Manage the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of financial statements • Present monthly financial reports to leadership • Process and manage payroll functions • Ensure accounts payable and accounts receivable is being processed in an accurate and timely manner • Manage HR/insurance-related accounting tasks • Prepare ad hoc reporting requests from leadership team and Board of Directors • Adapt and provide assistance when a team member may be out Requirements • 5+ years of prior small company financial close experience is required • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably at a senior level • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations • Proficiency in using advanced functions of Excel and other accounting software • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Previous exposure to an ERP software such as Oracle, SAP, D365, NetSuite, Great Plains, Sage 100, etc. Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
