Sr. Accountant
Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a remote opportunity and you are able to physically sit out of the PNW for this role. You will be a part of our team in the energy services industry, where your primary role will be to manage all accounting operations, coordinate financial forecasts, and work with multiple company accounts. Responsibilities: • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. • Utilize SAGE Intact software for daily accounting tasks and reporting. • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. • Prepare and present well-documented and timely financial analyses, reports, and forecasts. • Work with multiple company accounts under one parent company, coordinating finances and shares. • Demonstrate knowledge in state and local income tax, as well as sales and use tax processes. • Coordinate Audit process and work with external auditors. • Implement new accounting systems and programs, ensuring a seamless transition and effective integration. • Collaborate with stakeholders and financial team to optimize accounting practices. • Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. • Use Microsoft Excel and Intacct for various accounting tasks. SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $95,000 BENEFITS OFFERED: - Healthcare Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Other Insurances: Life, AD& D, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Plans available - Retirement Plan: 401k - PTO: 2 weeks Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel • Strong understanding and experience with General Ledger • Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries • Experience in performing Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations • Ability to handle Month End Close procedures • Experience with accounting software, Intacct preferred • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of company financial data • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
