Description Our client, a dynamic accounting firm located in the heart of Orland Park, is committed to providing top-tier tax and accounting services. We're seeking a proactive Tax Accountant to join their team, contributing to their culture of excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Expertly prepare and file a variety of tax returns including individual, corporate, S-Corp, and partnership filings. Engage in strategic tax planning, offering insightful advice that aids clients in optimizing their financial health. Handle full-cycle accounting for small businesses, ensuring compliance and efficiency in financial reporting. Manage payroll operations and ensure all related tax filings are accurate and timely. Act as a liaison with IRS and state agencies, resolving tax issues proactively. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. At least 3 years of experience in public accounting, with a preference for 5+ years. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Self-motivated with a knack for problem-solving and process enhancement. CPA or EA certification is a plus, though not mandatory. Proficiency or willingness to learn Lacerte Tax software; familiarity with QuickBooks advantageous. Capable of independent work while being a collaborative team player.
