Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Franklin, Wisconsin. The role will involve working with a variety of accounting functions and will require advanced skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management, among others.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct general reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Record appropriate journal entries
• Manage and maintain fixed asset records and monitor for capitalizable assets
• Prepare and file the Annual Manufacturing Personal Property Tax Return and Monthly Sales & Use tax return
• Assist in the Month End and Year End closing process
• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances from standard costs, and prepare periodic variance reports for the executive team
• Manage the standards rolling for the Bills of Material
• Perform physical inventory and cycle counts, report inventory variances, and analyze causes of inventory variances
• Assist in managing inventory including preparing obsolescence reserves
• Contribute to improvements to company ERP system(s)
• Identify trends in costs through purchased material variances and report findings to department team leaders
• Assist with Year End Financial review/Audit
• Assist in annual forecast, budgets, and other financial analytics
• Participate in companywide accounting initiatives. Requirements • Must hold a degree in Accounting or a related field
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Advanced knowledge in General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with other departments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Must keep abreast with industry trends and regulations
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
