Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in The Woodlands, Texas, in the Energy/Natural Resources sector. This role involves maintaining and reconciling various accounts and ledgers, including Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close operations. Responsibilities: • Accurately process journal entries and maintain the general ledger. • Manage account reconciliation tasks, ensuring all financial data is accurate. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy. • Carry out bank reconciliations, verifying all transactions align with bank statements. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and reporting. • Ensure a smooth month-end close process, addressing any discrepancies or issues. • Operate accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for financial management and reporting. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sr. Accountant, preferably in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. • Must have experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required. • The candidate should be well-versed in managing the General Ledger. • Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries is required. • Must have strong expertise in Microsoft Excel for managing and manipulating financial data. • Experience with Month End Close processes is required. • Knowledge of NetSuite for managing financial transactions is a must. • Familiarity with Oracle for managing business processes is required. • The candidate should have experience in using SAP for enterprise resource planning.
