Description Robert Half is looking for a senior accountant for a growing Cincinnati based company. The senior accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. May guide or review the work of support staff. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.The senior accountant core responsibilities are below. For immediate consideration please contact Jarrod Moon at (859)229-3603. • Provide inputs and uploads into weekly cash flow forecasting model and communicate week over week changes. • Lead the month end closing process and ensure all checklist items are completed. • Reconcile general ledger accounts, post journal entries and analyse trends and variances. • Perform calculations and ensure reserves and accruals are properly stated. • Provide supporting schedules, documentation and information requested for tax preparation. • Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedules for book and tax. • Support Director of accounting with daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting • Collaborate with outside auditors and provide supporting schedules, documentation and information requested. • Present oral and written reports based on analyses for upper management. • Collect and analyse data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies. • Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, surplus income, and expenditures. • Backup for other positions in Finance, such as accounts payable, cost accounting, and payroll, as required. • Document processes, organize date and recommend efficiency improvements. • Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must. • The candidate should have experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • The ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is required. • Detailed knowledge of General Ledger management is necessary. • The candidate should be proficient in making Journal Entries. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must for data management and analysis. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is required. • The candidate must be familiar with NetSuite accounting software. • Knowledge of Oracle financial software is necessary. • The candidate should have experience with SAP financial systems.
