Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial health by overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. This position requires a proactive professional with a strong accounting background and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis + Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. + Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data. + Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and opportunities. General Ledger Management: + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. + Manage month-end and year-end close processes. + Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Budgeting & Forecasting: + Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. + Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions. Audit & Compliance: + Coordinate with external auditors and prepare required documentation. + Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements. Process Improvement: + Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems. + Develop and document internal controls and procedures. Collaboration & Leadership: + Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis. + Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff. If interested, please email your resume directly to anthony.riccio@roberthalf(.com) Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the retail or manufacturing industry. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, MS Dynamics, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. + Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to adapt to a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
