Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in LANDOVER, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and maintaining account reconciliations. You will also need to have the ability to work in a manual process environment and be willing to take on various tasks as necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial statements for year-end close
• Conduct audits starting in February
• Update and maintain large reconciliations that have been neglected
• Work through manual processes and seek to improve them
• Handle revenue-related accounting tasks
• Assist with the implementation of a royalty system for audio books
• Ensure royalties are being accurately tracked
• Use NetSuite for various accounting tasks
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
• Work in a hybrid schedule, primarily in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Requirements
• Proven experience in Account Reconciliation is a must for the role of Sr. Accountant.
• Applicants should have a solid background in conducting Bank Reconciliations.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is required for the efficient execution of tasks.
• Familiarity with NetSuite will be a significant advantage for this position.
• The candidate should have experience with Year-end Close processes.
• Previous involvement in Year-end Audits is highly desirable for this role.
