Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in SCHENECTADY, New York. The role involves strategic financial management, including leading financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities. The Sr. Accountant will also supervise the company's financial operations, prepare and present financial reports, and oversee cash flow management. Responsibilities: • Supervising the company's financial operations, encompassing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing. • Leading the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities to bolster the company's growth and profitability. • Preparing and presenting financial reports and forecasts to the executive team. • Ensuring the integrity of financial statements and compliance with GAAP and other applicable laws and regulations. • Overseeing cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital allocation to support business expansion. • Managing payroll activities. • Managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, insurance agents, banks, attorneys, and regulatory bodies. Requirements • Bachelors in Accounting • Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and up-to-date. • Experience in Bank Reconciliations, adept at identifying and resolving discrepancies. • Familiarity with General Ledger management, maintaining accurate financial records. • Proficient in making Journal Entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and analyze data. • Experience in Month End Close, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled at the end of each month.
