Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Leawood, Kansas, United States. This role involves a significant amount of analytical work, with a focus on reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger management, end of month/year closing, and reporting. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data. • Handle balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. • Oversee bank reconciliations to validate our financial records. • Manage general ledger operations, ensuring accurate and timely accounting data. • Prepare and record journal entries, maintaining detailed and organized records. • Conduct month end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accounted for. • Analyze and prepare financial reports, delivering key insights to guide business decisions. • Handle some transactional accounting tasks as needed. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data.
