Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role will play a crucial part in our finance team, overseeing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing necessary insights for business decisions. Responsibilities • Oversee the accuracy of the general ledger, including managing journal entries, reconciliations, and the month-end close process • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policies • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, offering variance analysis and recommendations to leadership • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation to external auditors • Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy • Foster a culture of collaboration and detail-oriented development by mentoring and guiding entry-level accounting staff • Utilize ERP software and other financial tools to manage and analyze data, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance • Collaborate on financial projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, and system upgrades, as necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Knowledge of General Ledger management • Expertise in preparing Journal Entries • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro • Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures • Understanding of Accounting Principles, Functions, Operations, and Management • Familiarity with Accounting Literature and Guidance • Experience with Accounting Services and Systems • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting • Ability to prepare and analyze Balance Sheets • Expertise in Variance Analysis • Experience with General Ledger System • Proficiency in Month-end Close Activities, Financial, Journal Entries, and Reports • Experience with Year-end Close, Payroll, and Financial Statements Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
