Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Jupiter, Florida. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of financial transactions, including working in areas such as accounts payable/receivable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. You will also be expected to support production transactions. Responsibilities: • Accurately process financial information for the full accounting cycle • Regularly interact with different departments to gather information on costs and other financial transactions • Oversee the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash receipts • Participate in the improvement of accounting procedures and controls • Take responsibility for inventory oversight, reconciliation, and costing • Support the Human Resources department in weekly payroll processes, ensuring confidentiality • Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts • Assist in closing processes at the end of each month and year • Regularly generate reports using the company’s accounting system to communicate financial data and organizational status • Act as the primary internal contact for the SAP Business One ERP system and external support consultants • Analyze financial data and perform root cause analyses • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement • Work closely with the Production department to provide insightful analysis of production transactions • Carry out other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the accounting department Requirements • Applicant should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accountant role or a similar capacity • Proficiency in account reconciliation is required for this position • Experience in balance sheet reconciliation is a significant advantage • Familiarity with bank reconciliations is expected • A good understanding of the general ledger is crucial • Ability to make journal entries accurately is vital • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is essential • Experience with month-end close processes is required • Knowledge of SAP or similar accounting software is beneficial Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
