Description We are on the search for a Staff Accountant to join a very busy non-profit accounting team located in Spokane, Washington. As a Staff Accountant, your key role will be to oversee account reconciliation, manage balance sheet reconciliation, handle bank reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger. This is an immediate contract or contract-to-hire opportunity, on-site, in downtown Spokane. You will be supporting with full-cycle transactional accounting support and clean up projects. Responsibilities: • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy. • Handle balance sheet reconciliation tasks, ensuring all financial records are up to date. • Carry out bank reconciliations, verifying all transactions are accounted for. • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and updated. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reporting. • Ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely and accurate manner. • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks. • Prepare and record journal entries as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must-have skill. • Demonstrated experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is crucial. • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations effectively. • Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management. • Capability to handle Journal Entries accurately. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience with Month End Close processes is necessary. • Knowledge of NetSuite software is a definite advantage. • Familiarity with Oracle software is a significant plus. • Proficiency in using SAP software is highly beneficial.
