Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the construction industry in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be tasked with various responsibilities, including the maintenance of customer credit records and processing of credit applications. You will also be responsible for customer account monitoring and taking necessary actions. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing of customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency • Maintain accurate records of customer credit • Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations • Handle general ledger tasks and journal entries • Efficiently manage cash and billing processes • Execute month-end close procedures • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Carry out construction-specific accounting functions • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry • Demonstrable skills in Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations • Solid understanding of General Ledger maintenance and management • Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other related accounting software • Experience in performing Month End Close activities • Knowledge of Construction Accounting is a must • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
