Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the service industry, located in Modesto, California, United States. We are in search of a Sr. Accountant who will play a crucial role in our financial operations. Your primary duties will revolve around performing account and balance sheet reconciliations, managing the general ledger, and dealing with bank reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts and balance sheets to ensure accuracy • Handle bank reconciliations to keep track of company spending • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial records are accurate • Create and record journal entries, ensuring correct calculation and input • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reporting and data analysis • Engage in month-end close procedures to prepare for the following month • Operate NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting functions • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in financial reports • Monitor financial transactions and reports to ensure compliance with financial regulations • Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial processes and systems. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Service industry • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must • Strong knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries • Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Familiarity with NetSuite is highly desirable • Oracle proficiency is a significant advantage • Experience with SAP software is required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team • CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
